On February 12, 2025 (Wed), a completion ceremony was held for the Intensive Japanese Language Course for the second semester of the 2024 academic year. This course is designed for Japanese government Scholarship international students to study Japanese language intensively.
4 students who enrolled in this course in October 2024 (see below) completed the program. After receiving a certificate of completion from Professor Takahashi Shino of the Institute for International Relations, the students presented the results of their studies. They gave presentations in Japanese, comparing their home countries and Japan in terms of population, currency, and natural resources. While maintaining eye contact with the audience and presenting calmly, the students received a warm round of applause from those present.
In addition to their academic advisors and Japanese language instructors from the Institute for International Relations, the host families who took care of the students during their homestay in December and J-support (a volunteer organization that supports international students in their Japanese language studies) also attended this completion ceremony.
One of the students said, “I was able to give a confident presentation because I practiced a lot. However, Japanese is still difficult for me. I will definitely continue studying Japanese while conducting my research in the future.”This ceremony was a meaningful experience for both the students and the participants.
The students will begin their studies in their field of specialization next semester.
