Ehime University’s Doctoral Human Resource Development and Support
Greetings from the Director of Education and Student Support Organization
Doctoral candidates are important individuals who can drive the growth and development of society as a whole by creating and utilizing new knowledge based on their deep expertise and general-purpose abilities, such as the ability to discover and solve problems, thereby leading social change, academic development, and the creation of international networks. Their research contributes to technological innovation and the development of new theories that not only enrich our lives but also provide the foundation for shaping the society of the future.
Ehime University will continue to focus on supporting doctoral students to realize an environment in which they can devote themselves to research with even greater peace of mind. Specifically, we will take a wide range of support measures, such as enhancing financial support, strengthening career support, and developing a consultation service. In this way, we will support students so that they can concentrate on their own research and achieve maximum results. Furthermore, we aim to provide an environment where students from diverse backgrounds can come together and stimulate each other’s growth.

Through the development of doctoral human resources, we aim to enhance the sum total of knowledge of society as a whole and build a more prosperous and sustainable future. To help our doctoral students reach their full potential, we have established a comprehensive support system and will do our utmost to support their growth. We look forward to your continued understanding and cooperation.

In order for graduate school graduates to be active in society, they need a wide range of general-purpose skills along with knowledge in their field of specialization. Such general-purpose abilities are called transferable skills. Ehime University has established “Ehime University Transferable Skills” to be developed in graduate school education. The Ai-Dai Transferable Skills consist of five abilities: leadership, communication, problem solving, career development, and ethics.
