Support offered

Study Advisor *No reservation required

Graduate student study advisors provide one-on-one support in subjects such as “English,” “Mathematics,” “Physics,” “Chemistry,” and “Biology” as well as in writing.
*Subjects available for consultation vary depending on the day of the week, time, and advisor. Please check the “Schedule” for details.

Learning Support Advisor *Appointment priority

Learning Support Advisors help students identify their goals for their studies and future and develop a plan to achieve them. If necessary, they also provide advice on how to act on that plan. During the meeting, we will discuss your learning-related concerns and issues together, find concrete solutions, and support you in taking action. If you have any problems, please feel free to contact us.

Study Skills Courses

Workshops will be held to help students develop skills useful for teaching and learning, such as report writing and presentation methods. Details, including dates and times, will be posted on the electronic bulletin board.

Provision of self-study materials

Reference books and materials for each subject and study skills are available. There is also a space for self-study.

What is a Learning Support Room?

The Study Help Desk (SHD), established in July 2005 as a study consultation service for students, was expanded and opened in April 2025.

In the Study Support Room, the graduate student advisor “Study Advisor” and faculty advisor “Study Support Advisor” will be with each student to provide careful support to resolve any issues or concerns about study, so please take advantage of this service.
